Leadership and Teambuilding The most successful companies today value leadership at every level in their organization. Leadership in these organizations refers to the ability to be self-responsible, speak up, work effectively with other people, and look out for the greater good of the organization.And the most successful companies today also invest in developing high performing teams. Trust is essential to team performance and open lines of communication are essential to developing that trust. The more open the communication among team members, between departments, and across management levels, the greater the opportunity for the organization to grow in good times, and survive in challenging conditions. Individual participants in our Leadership and Teambuilding foundation program will gain tremendous insight into their own leadership style and motivations, the way they filter information, and the impact they have on others. The practical purpose behind this greater self-awareness is this... How can I make myself as easy as possible to work with? How can I work as effectively as possible with others? Teams who participate in this program will have the opportunity to communicate with each other through a unique process that guarantees that every person is heard. Teams leave with a greater sense of respect for each member's point of view, a greater level of trust, and a greater willingness to keep the lines of communication open. The Leadership & Teambuilding Program includes three phases: Phase 1: Preparation Timing: 2 weeks before the workshop Duration: 15 - 30 minutes for questionnaire completion Two weeks prior to the workshop, an agenda for the session is sent to each participant. Participants are also asked to complete a confidential questionnaire and return it to the facilitator one week prior to the workshop. The questionnaire asks participants to think about their own leadership strengths, growing edges, and "derailers"; and, to share their vision of their team's strengths and opportunities. Phase 2: Leadership & Teambuilding Foundation Workshop Timing: 1 1/2 days Duration: 12 hours This interactive workshop invites participants to assess their leadership and working style through a highly enjoyable and enlightening process - the Enneagram. The facilitation approach used guarantees that every participant's point of view is heard. The entire team is involved in increasing each other's awareness of the "big picture" and enlarging the productive arena in which the team operates. Specific learning outcomes include:
A wrap up meeting is held with the workshop organizer, usually the following week. An Executive Inventory showing self-identified Enneagram Leadership styles is provided; and insights from the workshop and participants' feedback are summarized, together with suggestions for the ongoing development of the team. Phase 3: Follow Up Session(s) Timing: 1 to 6 months after initial workshop Duration: 1/2 day A half-day group follow up session is held one to six months later. The purpose of the follow up session is to reinforce the learning from the Foundation Workshop, and, typically, to further develop individual and team communication and conflict resolution skills.
